Who are we?

McLeod + Aitken is a private consultancy company wholly owned by the directors with a history of over 60 years in the construction industry.

Our core services of Quantity Surveying and Project Management have evolved to provide full end-to-end construction consultancy advice.

Our clients are individually supported by the Directors to ensure quality of service and speed of delivery. In addition to our management board, we now have a staff base of over 70 professionals and operate from a number of offices in the UK and Australia.

We have an exceptionally strong legacy in providing services to private, public and third sector clients, each of which are valued by us equally. As the roles of the construction consultant are constantly changing, McLeod + Aitken have a breadth of staff with additional skills in law, procurement, BIM and other fields, to support the diverse nature of any client’s needs.

We provide individual or holistic project solutions and services with in-house QS, PM Programme Management and Principal Designer Capability.

As a company we aim to challenge across the board. We challenge construction methods and programmes as well as costs. This allows us to continually innovate, provide value engineering, whole life cycle cost advice and ultimately deliver an excellent service for our clients.

We use these skills to look holistically at what went well, what can be done better, what can be done quicker and what can be done at a lower cost. This helps us adapt as a company, reacting pragmatically as each project develops.

EcoVadis Sustainability Silver Medal

We are proud to announce that McLeod+Aitken have recently received the EcoVadis Sustainability Silver Medal, which represents our sustainability efforts, encompassing the aspects of the environment, labour, and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement.

Services are operated to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and SSIP

Were possible we have sought external accreditation for as many of our working processes as possible. Focusing on quality, sustainability and safety we have ensured we address all important issues when providing our service.

Evolving with the industry

From early adoption of billing systems we are now using an array of database and modelling software throughout our working day. Drones and Teams reduce meeting visits and we are embracing the next levels of sustainability willingly.

Over 70 professionals

Experience in recent years have ensured that we are able to employ more technical and professional people without vast admin and head office support roles. Our large, flexible resource pool ensures we can always cope with project demands.

Over 60 years’ experience

With RICS affiliation for over half a century we have a depth of knowledge second to none. A strong base in Aberdeen has now lead to 6 offices in the UK and 2 in Australia, all managed by our own grown staff.

With any of our clients a Director is appointed as account lead and to manage the project, the resource and results expected by our clients. An experienced, pragmatic leader sets us apart from our peers.
