From diverse projects, such as Scottish Castles, English Country Estates and Churches, to Distilleries we have encountered many of the nuances of working within this sector.
The project at Pitshill House in Sussex was a full re-instatement of a Georgian period building from a dilapidated shell. Works included internal and external refurbishment using traditional building materials and techniques. In addition to this the exterior space was improved with re-instated landscaping in line with the original designs for the house.
We often work on schemes that include part new build and part restoration. These are becoming more common place as clients look to keep the heritage of the building, while bringing the estate as a whole into the 21st century.
Our own heritage places us in the unique position of being able to work both sides of the border dealing seamlessly with both English and Scottish Heritage, the different building control and planning methodologies and contract or funding arrangements, without issue.
